Our public works crew is working hard to make your neighbourhood better. You may see our crew around your area working on the following projects:
Larocque Estates South – Drainage concerns. Work is ongoing to correct drainage issues. The road will be sloped, culverts cleaned out and ditch sediment build up removed.
Larocque Estates North – Public reserve improvement. The municipal reserve land located at North Larocque is a popular area for non-lakeside residents to access the lake for ice fishing and for snow mobiles. The base below the access area has not held up to the traffic coming on and off the lake when the melt starts. The RM made the decision to improve the base material to prevent rutting, improving safety for foot and vehicle traffic. There will also be fencing installed to keep vehicles contained to this single area. As part of this improvement, local residents will be maintaining the grass area and planting vegetation. These improvements are to make the area more enjoyable for the residents of Larocque Estates.
