The Ministry of Highways is planning to stabilize the two moving slopes at HWY 56. The plan is to stabilize the slopes by reducing their steepness, which will be achieved by removing soil from the slopes.
The contractor will mobilize to the site on September 8 and will remain there until October 16. During this period, one lane will remain open to traffic at all times, while the other lane will be closed during the day and reopened in the evening once the contractor concludes work for the day.
